Diljit Dosanjh stars as Amar Singh Chamkila, a humble singer whose brash lyrics ignite fame and fury across Punjab as he grapples with soaring success and brutal criticism before his untimely death. Born in a Ravidassia Dalit Sikh family in Punjab, Chamkila's heart belonged to music, despite working in a socks manufacturing factory as a teenager. The film follows his life's journey from his early days as a struggling musician to the public's frenzy over his performance and the events that led to his assassination.
