The Mikado

In the 1939 British musical comedy film "The Mikado," Kenny Baker stars as Nanki-Poo, a poor minstrel who disguises himself to be near his beloved Yum-Yum (Jean Colin). After Ko-Ko (Martyn Green), a tailor turned executioner, helps Nanki-Poo escape his arranged marriage to Katisha, the two lovers are reunited, leading to a series of misadventures involving the emperor and his son, who is actually in disguise.
