Storm Center

In this drama, Bette Davis plays Alicia Hull, a widowed librarian who refuses to ban a book from her library's collection, despite being labeled a Communist by local politicians. Her dismissal sparks outrage and fear in the small town, leading one young boy, Freddie Slater (Kevin Coughlin), to set fire to the library, causing a change of heart among the residents. Alicia eventually agrees to return to the library and help rebuild it after her earlier decision not to fight the city council's demands.
