Newton

A government clerk, Nutan "Newton" Kumar, conducts election duty in a conflict-ridden jungle of Central India, where apathy and fear prevail among security forces and communist rebels. As he tries to ensure free and fair voting, he faces disappointment when voters don't show up, but eventually coaxes them into participating through his own efforts and the intervention of a foreign reporter. Newton's determination is met with resistance from the authorities, leading him to take drastic action to collect the votes, resulting in a dramatic confrontation that challenges the status quo.
