Anand Sharma (Salman Khan), a mental hospital patient, becomes insane after accidentally killing his fiancée and is admitted to Sir Richard's Mental Sanatorium. Doctor Tanvi Khurana (Kareena Kapoor Khan) treats him but her authoritarian father, the asylum's administrator Dr. Jogichand Khurana (Jackie Shroff), opposes their close bond. As Tanvi tries to help Anand overcome his trauma, she and he develop feelings for each other, testing her own beliefs and challenging her father's disapproval.
