Texas Rangers

The film follows a group of Texas Rangers in the post-American Civil War era as they help uphold the law along the Mexican border under the leadership of Leander McNelly. With a few veterans of the war, most recruits are young men with little or no experience with guns or policing crime. James Van Der Beek stars as Lincoln Rogers Dunnison, one of these inexperienced recruits who joins the Rangers despite his ineptitude and lack of connection to Texas.
