The Beatles: Let It Be

The film documents the Beatles' rehearsing and recording songs in January 1969 for what was to become their twelfth and final studio album Let It Be. The first portion of the film shows the band rehearsing on a sound stage at Twickenham Film Studios, with McCartney dominating the proceedings while his bandmates show comparatively little interest. Later, the Beatles record songs individually at Apple headquarters, with Billy Preston accompanying the band on impromptu renditions of several rock and roll covers. The final portion of the film features an unannounced rooftop concert by the group, their last public performance together, from which they perform a mix of new and old songs to surprised Londoners gathering below.
