The History Boys

At a boys' grammar school in Sheffield, eight sixth-form students prepare for a seventh-term entrance examination in History to win places at Oxford or Cambridge. Their well-liked General Studies teacher, Hector (Richard Griffiths), teaches alongside their deputy head and History teacher, Mrs Lintott. A young temporary tutor, Tom Irwin (Stephen Campbell Moore), sharpens the boys' exam technique, while Dakin (Dominic Cooper) becomes increasingly fascinated by Irwin, leading to a flirtatious and potentially sexual pursuit.
