As a psychology major on a class observation trip at a local mental hospital, Abby Jones unwittingly sparks a dark connection with Harmon Porter, a high-risk patient who harbors a sinister secret. Returning home, she invites her unsuspecting roommates to share an evening of study, unaware that the malevolent presence she's awakened in Porter is about to unleash terror upon them.
