Princess Kaiulani

In "Princess Kaiulani," Q'orianka Kilcher stars as the titular character, a 19th-century Hawaiian princess who dares to defy her people's fate. After being raised in England by her Scottish father, she returns to Hawaii and becomes a fierce advocate for her kingdom's independence, even if it means leaving behind her English paramour. With determination and charm, Kaiulani charms U.S. President Grover Cleveland into opposing the annexation of Hawaii, but ultimately finds herself powerless against the new president who has accepted the annexation proposal.
