The Way Things Go

The Way Things Go is a mesmerizing 29-minute art film that documents the intricate, domino-like chain reaction of everyday objects and industrial materials assembled in an empty warehouse studio by Swiss artist duo Peter Fischli and David Weiss. The installation incorporates found objects such as tires, trash bags, ladders, soap, oil drums, old shoes, water, and gasoline, with fire and pyrotechnics used as chemical triggers. As the process unfolds, it reveals a story of cause and effect, mechanism and art, and improbability and precision, in an extended science project that will captivate your mind.
