The Beat Beneath My Feet

Tom Heath (Nicholas Galitzine), a withdrawn teenager living in South London with his single mother Mary, dreams of becoming a rock musician. When a new tenant moves into their council flat, Tom discovers he is Max Stone (Luke Perry), an American former rock guitarist who vanished years earlier after his young son drowned and he was charged with tax fraud. As Tom learns under Max's guidance, the pair grow closer, but Max's troubled past and guilt over his own son's death threaten to derail their mentorship. Ultimately, a viral video of their performance together launches Tom into fame, allowing him to fulfill his dream of becoming a rock star while also finding redemption for Max's past mistakes.
