Boxcar Bertha

In this gritty drama, Barbara Hershey stars as Boxcar Bertha Thompson, a young woman orphaned by the Great Depression who takes to freighthopping in search of survival. She soon meets Big Bill Shelly (David Carradine), a union organizer with whom she becomes romantically entangled and starts a string of train and bank robberies. As they face off against corrupt railroad executives, the duo's partnership is put to the test amidst the violence and sex that defines their tumultuous lives.
