The Endurance

A harrowing documentary about one of history's most perilous expeditions, "The Endurance" (2000) chronicles Sir Ernest Shackleton's ill-fated 1914 Antarctic journey aboard his ship, also called The Endurance. Trapped in the ice floes and frigid open ocean, Shackleton leads a team of men on a treacherous 800-mile open boat voyage to find rescue after their ship is crushed. Against all odds, the entire crew survives, a testament to Shackleton's leadership and determination.
