Space Cadet

In this wildly absurd yet mildly enjoyable comedy, Emma Roberts shines as Rex Simpson, a quirky Florida girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut despite having a high school diploma and little more than a passion for space exploration. With the help of her quick wits, moxie, and determination, Rex navigates NASA's ultra-competitive astronaut training program, ultimately redeeming herself by saving the day with her unconventional thinking. This feel-good film, written and directed by Liz W. Garcia, is a heartwarming and hopeful tale of perseverance and female empowerment, even if it doesn't quite take off as a high-concept comedy.
