Hey Ram

In 1946, Saket Ram is an archaeologist in Mohenjo-daro who opposes the Partition of India alongside his friend Amjad Ali Khan. After returning to Calcutta, Saket Ram's wife Aparna is brutally raped and killed during the Direct Action Day riots. He seeks revenge against a group of rioters, later radicalized by Shriram Abhyankar into targeting Mahatma Gandhi as a traitor. Saket Ram's story is told through his grandson's narration, which begins when the elderly man lies on his deathbed in 1999 Chennai.
