Satya

Satya is a young man who comes to Mumbai from South India in search of employment. He secures a job at a local dance bar but soon finds himself entangled in the underworld when a volatile criminal throws a drink in his face, leading to violence and tension. In jail, he meets an underworld boss, Bhiku Mhatre (Manoj Bajpayee), who impresses by Satya's resilience and lack of fear. Impressed, Mhatre utilizes a corrupt lawyer to secure Satya's release, which leads him to join the gang. With Mhatre's backing, Satya guns down a rival gangster and becomes embroiled in a gang war, eventually assassinating Guru Narayan, who had ordered his death. Afterward, he is forced to escape alone, leaving behind those he loves, including Vidya (Urmila Matondkar), the woman he has fallen for but cannot reveal his true identity to.
