Bittersweet

A 30-year-old Egyptian American named Masry returns to Egypt after twenty years abroad, filled with nostalgia and high hopes for reconnecting with his roots. However, he quickly becomes disenchanted upon experiencing firsthand the chaos that has descended into his homeland. As he navigates the country's bureaucratic systems, cultural clashes, and societal challenges, Masry finds himself caught between two worlds, leading to an identity crisis that forces him to reevaluate his sense of belonging and dignity in a society where foreigners are often treated with more respect than Egyptians themselves.
