Giraffe

Giraffe is a Danish-German drama film released in 2019, written and directed by Anna Sofie Hartmann. The film follows Dara (Lisa Loven Kongsli), an anthropologist from Berlin who returns to her hometown of Lolland to document the changes in the local community due to the construction of the Femern Bælt-forbindelsen tunnel between Denmark and Germany. Along the way, she meets a young Polish construction worker named Lucek (Jakub Gierszał), with whom she has an affair. The film provides insight into the lives of migrant workers in Denmark during this time of significant change.
