Cheerleaders' Wild Weekend

A busload containing three cheerleading teams from three different schools is hijacked by terrorists and the girls are kidnapped in this 1979 cheerleader comedy film known for its tone-shifting plot, which veers between kidnapping drama, slapstick comedy, and eroticism. The rival squads from Pierce High, Polk High, and Darwell engage in internal rivalries reflecting their racial and socio-economic tensions, while Frankie, the chaperone nurse, is revealed to be in on the plot from the beginning. As the girls try to escape, they must put aside their rivalries and work together, leading to a chaotic series of events including a chainsaw defense and a comedic action sequence.
