Les amants de Bras-Mort

The Lovers of Bras-Mort is a 1951 French drama film directed by Marcello Pagliero and starring Nicole Courcel as Monique Levers, Frank Villard as Jean Michaut, and Henri Génès as Nestor. Located around Conflans-Sainte-Honorine at the confluence of the Seine and Oise rivers, the film tells the story of a bargeman who falls in love with the daughter of a wealthy boat owner despite her family's class prejudices. Monique ultimately leaves her intolerant family to live with Jean among simple, more tolerant bargemen.
