A Disney Channel Original Movie comedy adventure unfolds when a teenage boy named Mike Pillsbury inadvertently opens a galactic door by broadcasting a message into space. Suddenly, an alien dog named Barnabus appears, claiming to be part of a galactic organization specializing in disaster relief and rights violations, who arrives to answer Mike's plea for rescue from his troubled home life. As the situation spirals out of control, Mike must navigate a series of bizarre encounters with aliens, including a lawyer, a TV producer, and an intergalactic bounty hunter, all while trying to make sense of his newfound existence.
