Kinds of Kindness

Kinds of Kindness is a triptych fable that explores control and abuse through three loosely interlaced stories. In one tale, Emma Stone plays Rita, a woman whose life is also being controlled by Raymond, played by Willem Dafoe, leading to a desperate and violent confrontation with the man she believes killed his previous victim, R.M.F. Another story follows Jesse Plemons as Robert, an outwardly professional man who lives with his wife Sarah, played by Hong Chau, after he survives a minor car accident ordered by their controlling boss Raymond, forcing him to confront the darkness of his life and the true extent of Raymond's manipulation. In a third narrative, Margaret Qualley stars as a woman searching for a specific person with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader, navigating the complexities of her own desires and the sinister forces that seek to exploit her.
