In "American Violence", a psychologist delves into the mind of a death row inmate to determine whether he should live or die. The film's central story is mildly engaging, but its framework is marred by lackluster performances and an ultimately forgettable experience. With a talented cast, including Bruce Dern and Denise Richards, this 107-minute thriller fails to leave a lasting impression.
