Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), a British wizard and "magizoologist," arrives in New York City in 1926, where he observes Mary Lou Barebone preaching that witches and wizards are real and dangerous. Attempting to recapture a Niffler from his suitcase of magical creatures, Newt bumps into No-Maj Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler), an aspiring baker, and unwittingly swaps suitcases with him. Porpentina "Tina" Goldstein, a demoted Auror of the Magical Congress of the United States (MACUSA), spots the Niffler and arrests Newt for breaking magical law. As the city descends into chaos, Tina and Newt follow a trail of wreckage to track down an ill Jacob, who was bitten by one of the escaped creatures, including an Obscurial that is revealed to be Credence, Mary Lou's adult adopted son. The story unfolds as Newt and Tina work together to stop the destruction caused by the Obscurials, while Percival Graves, the Director of Magical Security, accuses Newt of conspiring with Gellert Grindelwald and tries to destroy his case and its contents.
