When Lucy Hale's Character (Kate) meets Keir Gilchrist's Mort in a dating service that matches people by their death dates, they must navigate their budding relationship amidst Mort's impending mortality and a deranged pimp stalking him. Along the way, Mort joins Elaine (Monica Potter), his estranged wife, who has been searching for him to reconcile before he runs out of time.
