A Kind of Murder

"A Kind of Murder" is a 2016 American murder mystery and psychological thriller directed by Andy Goddard from a screenplay by Susan Boyd based on the 1954 Patricia Highsmith novel The Blunderer. It stars Patrick Wilson as Walter Stackhouse, an architect with a troubled marriage to Jessica Biel's Clara Stackhouse, whose own wife turns up dead in an apparent suicide. As a police detective (Vincent Kartheiser) suspects that Walter and his friend Kimmel (Eddie Marsan), the husband of a woman found murdered nearby, are guilty of murder, their lives become dangerously intertwined.
