The Benson Murder Case

In the midst of the chaos caused by the Wall Street crash of 1929, a ruthless stockbroker named Anthony Benson is found dead at his lavish country estate in an impromptu party he hosted himself. Philo Vance, a sharp-witted and amateur sleuthing detective who happened to be there, takes it upon himself to unravel the tangled web of lies, greed, and betrayal that led to the murder. With the help of Sergeant Ernest Heath and District Attorney John F.X. Markham, Vance must navigate through a complex cast of suspects, including notorious gambler Harry Gray, enigmatic actress Fanny Del Roy, and mysterious gigolo Adolph Mohler.
