Girl on the Bridge

Adele (Vanessa Paradis) is a girl who has lost her luck in life. She meets Gabor (Daniel Auteuil), a knife thrower, on a Paris bridge and follows him as he convinces her to become his partner in his act, selling their lives' misfortunes for success. They travel abroad, performing together and bringing good fortune into each other's lives, but ultimately separate when Adele finds new love, leading Gabor into poverty and despair.
