Leevi (Janne Puustinen), who is studying literature in Paris, returns to his native Finland for a summer holiday to help his father Jouko (Mika Melender) renovate their family lakehouse so it can be sold. There, he meets Tareq (Boodi Kabbani), a Syrian refugee and handyman hired to help with the work. As they spend time together during an idyllic Finnish midsummer, the two young men establish a connection that blossoms into a romance despite their complex personal circumstances, including Leevi's estrangement from his conservative father and Tareq's asylum-seeking status in Finland.
