Why Him?

Bryan Cranston stars as Ned Fleming, a conservative father who forms a bitter rivalry with his daughter's young rich boyfriend, Laird Mayhew, played by James Franco. When Laird asks for Ned's blessing to propose to Stephanie, Ned says no, leading to a series of escalating conflicts between the two men and their families. In the end, Ned and Laird come together as business partners, turning a struggling printing company into a successful toilet factory.
