The Golden Dream

The film follows three Central-American teenagers - Juan (Brandon López), Chauk (Rodolfo Domínguez), and Samuel (Carlos Chajon) - as they attempt to escape poverty and violence in Guatemala City bound for California. They face numerous challenges, including a harrowing train journey, encounters with drug traffickers, and the loss of their companion Sara, who is kidnapped by criminals. After Juan's rescue and subsequent arrival in Phoenix, he becomes embroiled in the difficulties of his new life in the United States, leaving Chauk to meet a tragic fate in the desert.
