A Mumbai businessman and his wife, Swati (Urmila Matondkar), are looking for a new flat, but after moving into Apartment 1201, which has been vacant since its previous occupant's suicide, Swati starts having visions. Vishal (Ajay Devgn) consults Dr. Rajan (Victor Banerjee) and eventually seeks help from an exorcist, Sarita (Rekha), who advises him to meet Manjeet's mother, who may be able to placate her daughter's spirit.
