The Age of Shadows follows the cat-and-mouse game between Korean independence fighters and Japanese agents in 1920s Korea. Lee Jung-chool (Song Kang-ho) is a former Heroic Corps member turned Japanese police agent who becomes embroiled in the resistance after being tasked with investigating Kim Woo-jin (Gong Yoo), his old friend and fellow fighter. As they engage in a game of deception, Lee's loyalty is tested, and he must decide where his true allegiance lies.
