Woman of the Hour

Based on the true story of Rodney Alcala, a serial killer who guested in a 1970s show called The Dating Game, this crime thriller follows Sheryl Bradshaw, an aspiring actress portrayed by Anna Kendrick, as she crosses paths with Alcala and ultimately becomes his target. Shot against the backdrop of 1970s Los Angeles, the film alternates between Sheryl's life in 1978 and Rodney's crimes in different locations from 1971 to 1979, exploring themes of misogyny, violence, and how women deal with strange men.
