Migawari Mission

In feudal Japan's Edo period, a clumsy monk named Takaaki (Tsuyoshi Muro) impersonates his deceased brother Kira Kozukenosuke to prevent his clan's downfall, befriending Oishi (Eita Nagayama), the leader of the Ako men who might have been party to the original revenge. As Takaaki navigates this treacherous world, he must keep up the charade and navigate his growing friendship with Oishi. With the help of Saito Kunai (Kento Hayashi) and Tokugawa Tsunayoshi's assistance, can Takaaki survive long enough to uncover the truth about his family's past?
