Even the Rain

In Cochabamba, Bolivia, director Sebastián and executive producer Costa arrive to film a historical drama about Christopher Columbus's first voyage. They cast Daniel, a local man who had led demonstrations against the government-protected water company, in the role of Hatuey. As filming begins, tensions rise between the crew and the locals, particularly when Daniel discovers that Costa is speaking badly of them in English. Sebastián struggles with moral conflicts as Daniel becomes imprisoned and continues to protest, forcing him to question the likelihood of completing the film. Meanwhile, Teresa, Daniel's wife, seeks Costa's help to find her injured daughter Belén, leading to a dramatic confrontation between the crew and the protesters.
