Intermezzo

A concert violinist, Holger Brandt (Leslie Howard), becomes charmed with his daughter's talented piano teacher, Anita Hoffman (Ingrid Bergman). He invites her to go on tour with him, and they make beautiful music both on and off stage. He soon leaves his wife so the two can pursue a life together, but a tragic accident involving their young daughter forces Holger to reevaluate his priorities and reconcile his love for Anita with his responsibilities as a family man.
