I Am Sun Mu

"I Am Sun Mu" is a documentary film that tells the story of North Korean defector Sun Mu, who creates political pop art based on his life and homeland. Operating under a pseudonym which means 'no boundaries', Sun Mu shares his hopes for a united Korea through his artwork. The film follows Sun Mu as he nearly loses his hidden identity when a massive historical exhibit in Beijing is shut down by Chinese and North Korean authorities, with key figures including Angeline as Sun Mu's wife and Liang Kegang as the director of the Beijing Yuan Art Museum playing significant roles.
