The California Kid

Martin Sheen plays Michael McCord, a hot rodder who investigates his brother's death at the hands of small-town Sheriff Roy Childress (Vic Morrow). As McCord digs deeper, he uncovers evidence that suggests the sheriff is a sadistic killer who pushes speeders to their deaths on mountain roads. With the help of local diner waitress Maggie (Michelle Phillips) and auto mechanic Buzz Stafford (Nick Nolte), McCord confronts the sheriff in a thrilling showdown.
