In "Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega...", Pooja (Rani Mukerji) falls into a coma after attempting to kill herself when her boyfriend jilts her, and Raj (Salman Khan), a struggling singer, saves her life but finds himself caught up in caring for her upon her recovery. As Jahnvi (Preity Zinta), Pooja's best friend, also develops feelings for Raj, the two women become embroiled in a complicated love triangle with Raj, who is already smitten with Jahnvi and later falls for Pooja after she awakens from her coma.
