Paradise

In this 1982 Canadian adventure-romance film, two teenagers, David and Sarah, flee across the desert after their caravan is attacked and their families are butchered by Arab marauders. The desert holds danger from the elements, animals, and a ruthless slaver named the Jackal, who wants Sarah for himself, but it also offers temptation and love as the pair hide out in an oasis and build a life together. As they navigate this treacherous landscape, they discover each other in new ways and ultimately must confront their tormentor to ensure their safety.
