Kuyucakli Yusuf

"Kuyucaklı Yusuf," directed by Feyzi Tuna and based on Sabahattin Ali's 1985 novel, is a drama that explores themes of foreignness, class conflict, and struggle to adapt through the lens of its protagonist, Yusuf. Idealist district governor Selahattin Bey adopts Yusuf after his family was killed by thugs, leading to Yusuf falling in love with Muazzez, the daughter of Selahattin. However, when Hilmi Bey's son Şakir also wants to marry Muazzez, a conflict escalates, leaving Yusuf alone.
