The Last Word

A retired businesswoman, played by Shirley MacLaine as Harriett Lauler, decides to write her own obituary and hires a young journalist, portrayed by Amanda Seyfried as Anne Sherman, to help her tell her life story. Along the way, they form an unlikely friendship that changes both of their lives. The film also features notable roles from Philip Baker Hall and Anne Heche.
