The Confessional

A troubled young girl, Jenny Welch (Susan Penhaligon), confesses to Father Xavier Meldrum (Anthony Sharp) at a church, unaware that the priest is sexually frustrated and becomes obsessed with her. As the story unfolds, it's revealed that Meldrum stalks Jenny, later blackmailling her and eventually murdering her friend Robert in hospital. His obsession escalates further as he murders Jenny's sister Vanessa and kills himself after his housekeeper, Miss Brabazon, fatally stabs herself to be with him.
