In this dark comedy, a group of 12 survivors forms an uneasy community to navigate life under the oppressive gaze of a mysterious giant creature known only as "That Thing." Two years after its formation, the fragile social bonds are put to the test when Hirayama, the hotel owner and unlikely leader, is found dead - but was his demise a tragic accident or a murderously sinister act?
