A young man receives an emergency phone call from an older woman who claims she's been kidnapped – and her husband and son have been targeted next by dirty cops working for the Los Angeles Police Department. Chris Evans plays Ryan Hewitt, a random young man who must maintain the long-distance phone connection to help Jessica Martin escape her captors. The film follows a struggle for survival between several desperate characters as they try to outsmart the corrupt police officers and rescue Jessica's family.
