We Were Dangerous

In 1954 New Zealand, three teenage girls from different backgrounds are sent to a remote island facility for delinquent girls, where they must endure strict Christian instruction and authoritarian rule. Led by their defiant friendship, Nellie, Daisy and Lou attempt to resist the Matron's efforts to reform them into subservient housewives and mothers. With their bond tested by loyalty, betrayal and rebellion, the trio finds strength in each other as they plot a daring escape from the island that will change their lives forever.
