The Star Packer

U.S. Marshal John Travers (John Wayne) takes on the role of the deceased sheriff to bring justice to a western town plagued by murders, aided by his Indian sidekick Yak (Yakima Canutt). As he delves deeper into the mystery, Anita Matlock (Verna Hillie), the niece of the local ranch owner, becomes entangled in the investigation. With Travers' help, she plays a crucial role in foiling a plot to murder most of the town with a machine gun and ultimately helps him bring the culprit to justice.
