Rappin'

"Rappin'" is a 1985 American film starring Mario Van Peebles as John Hood, an ex-con and break-dancer who helps save his neighborhood from a greedy developer while trying to win a rap contest. Around the same time, one of the hoodlums' girlfriend Dixie (Tasia Valenza) persuades him to audition for a rap recording contract, developing into a relationship. The film features Ice-T in an uncredited role, with his rhymes, including John Hood's climactic lines, featured throughout the movie.
